SPIRITS COME TO CALL
The Flood Gates to memories open wide ... and
Nearly fall off the hinges at the End of an Old Year .... and at the ...
Beginning of a New Year.
Thoughts of friends ... family ...
Of times shared with others ... and ...
Times spent in solitude.
Thoughts of health ... happiness ... loneliness ... elation ... and heartbreak.
Thoughts of the loves of our lives come to mind, heart, and soul.
Spirits from the ‘other side’ of life are near.
Their visits can be quiet and subtle.
How quickly they rush in .... without invitation ... or incantation.
Taken by shock or sweet surprise ...
We are sometimes left breathless and flushed ...
As we are brought to smiles ... anger ... or tears ...
By the presence of ... loving and unearthly souls.
Spirits from years gone by float around us ... and ...
There really isn’t much we can do about it, is there?
They come to dwell with us and we abide ...
Sometimes in happiness ... Sometimes in pain.
The so called, “holidays”, seem to do some Conjuring of their own ...
When emotions are high and the air is thick with the aroma of candles ...
When colored lights intoxicate our vision ...
When a deep sense of longing for the intangible overwhelms us ...
When our desire to be with those gone from us simply can not be denied ...
When the clock ticks and sounds it’s chime ... ‘gong ... gong’...
When we’re sitting in a darkened room ... with lighted trees and glowing objects ...
The flood of our emotions engulfs us ... and we can choose to escape or embrace ...
When visiting Souls Arrive.
How rich we are to be thought of by those gone from us ... yet ... not truly gone.
How rich we are to be remembered, visited and loved from Beyond.
By those Subtle Spirits who are saying, “Do you read me?”

Seeing Carol KIng and James Taylor perform on PBS, in 2010, stirred the nostalgia and brought the meaning of, ‘True Friendship’ into even sharper focus.
As Martha Stewart often says, “It was a good thing.”
Great happiness came to us in 2010 by way of personal reunions and reconnections with our dear and exceptional friends, Ray Ledford, Janet Snyder, Jo Harris and Scott Brinitzer. There is no measure for the Love Bond which exists among True Friends.
Thankful? Yes. Deeply.
